Battle CJ in this FNF mod

Starlight Mayhem VS CJ - Friday Night Funkin' Mod is a free game utility developed by GameBanana. As the name suggests, it is a mod for Friday Night Funkin' that will have you battle a new character named CJ. This mod also brings three new songs and a whole new week featuring stylish cutscenes.

As with other FNF mods, Starlight Mayhem VS CJ stars the mighty musical couple—Boyfriend and Girlfriend. It also uses the same gameplay as the original title. With this, the only difference in the experience is the songs and the level of difficulty you will face.

Festival turned into a battle

Friday Night Funkin' is a music rhythm game that is popular not just among players but developers as well. The game comes with an easy to modify features, allowing modders to create additional content that extends the gameplay. To date, several mods have been released, all of which add a new challenge to the already challenging game. Among the growing list of mods is Starlight Mayhem VS CJ.

It is a full-week mod built using the new Mic'd Up engine. As mentioned, it brings the popular couple—Boyfriend and Girlfriend—back. It also introduced a new opponent, the bandleader named CJ. In the game, the couple showed up at a local music festival where CJ's band is performing. Unable to pass up the chance, the band vocalist challenged Boyfriend to a rap battle.

The mod features three new funky songs. Moreover, it comes with fully charted Easy, Normal, and Hard modes. There will also be stylish cutscenes added to the storyline. However, like other mods for this game, it will be solely single-player. Users should also know that changing the keybind requires you to dig through files and scripts. The mod also eats up large storage space and is prone to crashing.

Is the mod good?

Overall, Starlight Mayhem VS CJ Mod is a fun addition to the already popular game. It offers new songs and introduced yet another character to beat. It also has the same gameplay as the original title, so playing it is incredibly easy. However, unlike other FNF mods, this one comes with a handful of drawbacks. It would be more enjoyable if these issues are fixed, especially the constant crashing.
